So i was looking at this video: [https://youtu.be/omumzW1AtGE?si=cJ4etcRV2xsm1jWN](https://youtu.be/omumzW1AtGE?si=cJ4etcRV2xsm1jWN)

The video is using 12900k!

Basically im trying to pair a 13600k with DDR5 or possibly waiting for 14th gen. In either case it doesn’t make sense not to go for DDR5 for these CPUs. But in general should I expect huge gains in picking DDR5 vs DDR4 in terms of % lows? I am a % lows addict as it provides the smoothest gameplay and fast RAM seems to be number 1 when it comes to % lows.

But what are your guys’ reactions to the video above? I know overhere we are all about overclocking, would a fully overclocked a-die hynix ddr5 show “significant” difference vs a fully overclocked samsung b-die ddr4 in terms of % lows gains?

Huge gains, no. But DDR5 is cheap and fast enough that it is worth purchasing for most systems now.

The gains on a 12900K will be comparable on a 13600K. The 12900K boosts 100MHz higher and has 2 more P-Cores, not a big difference.
