I’d try and stick with the white theme whatever you do. any black panels will be too overpowering (I did this and my setup looks dogwater now). These are also pretty easy to cut with a knife if needed to fit your ceiling. If I was you, I’d go all out and do that entire wall behind your desk. It’ll take some measuring and fitting, but it’ll look good afterwards.

I would put some wooden battens and paint them a colour of your choosing, wood and paint is relatively cheap and you can make any pattern you like.
