I was a plague priest. I would contagion from a distance and just watch the show. It was clean, elegant, and quite frankly the only way to run on the edge.
However, I’m noticing a distinct and outrageous nerf in contagion – both spread and potency. The upped cost of using my mind makes movement slower and more grindy. I believe I have all the skills necessary to boost my abilities and RAM recall, but its really really slow and makes sweeping areas quietly more of a chore.
D3ath_Wi5h
No I honestly don’t like it because all the cyberware and perk changes I had a perfect build now I really don’t want to play anymore
Rafe_isworkingonit
I dunno, I’ve been waiting for the update, I’m on the Xbox one s and so far I’m still on update 1.61, I’ve checked manually for updates, idk if I just have to wait a few more days but Google said 2.0 update supposed to come out on the 21st
cadre_of_storms
I can’t decide how to play atm. I’ve made a new character and don’t know which way to go with it
NubuSilver
I love it. Started a new run and the whole game so far feels way smoother, more complete, and less broken. Way less of a loot simulator, and the updated systems feel great so far. Also the graphics look even more incredible than before.
Lefluffypants
Took a touch of experimentation but I really like it! Berserk is a fun thing to use with gorilla arms, I also like that when fully chromed up you occasionally experiences moments of psychosis.
pizzamanpiazza
I’m using throwing knives, pistols and sandevistan right now so I’ve been going tech and cool
Han-Solo-Jr-
I have been à Sandy and katana from beginning even before the Netflix show. Still using it. Just a bit less powerful but very interesting I have to swipe with a gun while Sandy is recharging so it is fun
Sixmlg
Not sure if it’s my controller but running feels really stiff now? Like it’s hard to go into sprint. Not exactly sure if I like the net runner changes yet but I’ll wait and see.
ProfessionalBeyond60
Gorilla arms build here. I fucking love the finishers and the superhero landing after dashing in the air toward a group of enemies
Flaky-Humor-9293
I like it but i see more bugs in 2.0 than i saw in 1.6
That’s very weird
ButNotReallyMaybe
I think, post update, this might be the best game I’ve ever played, if not the most fun in a loooong time.. and guys I’m one of those BGS ride or die weirdos😵💫🫦

I like the changes quite a bit and I think that is probably an unpopular opinion.
1. Crafting simplification is great. I love being able to level up iconic weapons while also needing to replace “standard” weapons as I level.
2. I’m also a huge fan of the guns being models without randomized stats. If I had it my way, every game would do this. Give me good things and don’t make me read through 8 stats on every item in an effort to find a god role.
3. People seem to think the classes are nerfed, but I think it is more that their play-style got removed. For example, the new netrunner doesn’t have daemons anymore and their quick-hacks aren’t so powerful that Contagion can wipe out a whole camp alone. With smart use of hacks, you can absolutely start a fight with an overwhelming advantage and then turn on the Overclocked ability which burns health but lets you quickhack like a cybergod and makes smart guns instantly lock – which is incredibly OP. It basically makes netrunners high-burst glass cannons and that’s great. I can already predict there will be a lot of Intelligence, Tech, Body netrunners who are built like tanks with cyberware so that they can Overclock with abandon. My sword/reflex build seems to have become a class that is skill-based. You can use a Sandy to start a fight and take out 3 or 4 people easily, but then you have to use dashes or aimed blocks to win against the remaining ones. It’s really fun once you get used to it, but the class is no longer a time-god who can murder everyone before they get a weapon out. So that’s pretty much a straight nerf, but an understandable one – also, dashing and deflecting are pretty fun.
4. The AI having cyberware abilities more often and being good at using them is just awesome. At about level 20, my build starts to form and regular enemies are not that challenging (my fault for not raising the difficulty above Normal), but if there is a cyberware user in a group and I don’t alpha-strike them, I’ll often go down. I’m probably going to raise the difficulty up one stop pretty soon, but I enjoy progressing to a point where my build dominates before raising it. Then I’ll do the same for hard before ticking up the box to extra hard.

I like that I don’t have to pay Vic back. 😂

Can’t stop diggin’ it!
I love really enjoy it. It’s cyberpunk – chaotic (in a good way), dangerous, more dystopian, dynamic and alive. Even though there are some issues and bugs, the game looks finally finished.
I love mostly the new economy and upgrades and of course changes in cyberware and cars.
And I play half-netrunner with gun and sometimes katana.
derI067
absolutely adore the update, but could use some more crafting parts. maybe it’s just me, idk
Virtuous_Raven
Using a body and tech build with a sand and a Lmg, easy time killing everything while going into cyberpsychosis.
N8swimr
I was skeptical when I first heard that stamina would be used when shooting because I thought it meant choosing between sprinting and shooting. Then I come to find out sprinting no longer takes stamina. Fantastic.
My current build is sandevistan and the dying night pistol. The little bayonet is very funny to me. I’m also using the scalpel katana since it has increased crit chance with sandy.
MorenaLedovec
i enjoy it very much, just dotn undrestand how the weakspots work yet, do i ened cyberware or some perk? cannot get it to work somehow
xxademasoulxx
I’ve played like 15 minutes of 2.0 as BG3, lies of P and starfield are taking up more of my time I prefer darksouls games above all else so I’ll wait till I finish lies of P before I jump back in with the dlc.
LibKan
Not really a new build yet, but I will say there is a small change that like, no one has mentioned. Still no custom radio station or playlists but now when you select a station it’ll tell you what song is playing

The Hidden Gems in the game.
They change some of the Body and Technical requirements on some of the doors, gates etc.
Example: When looking for the Duolayer microplate-mesh Nomad jacket located Northeast of the Border Checkpoint in Rattlesnake Creek, Badlands.
It was found in a bunker, behind a door with a 13 Body requirement. Now it requires 20 Body to open it.
Aggressive-Volume-16
I like the combat now it feels fast clean and well polished and epic. I tried reflexes and cool combo buil using pistols snipers and dashing
itsHeyKyle
I’m still using shotguns and LMGs under body, and the pyromania skill tree under technical ability. Seems pretty good
daydreamer1197
I wish they would add more cyberware cosmetics like metal arms, etc. And also wish they’d added metro. But other than that it’s great. My cyberarm mod still works so thats on I guess
DaemonAnguis
I like it except for the level scaling. I like what they did with melee.
AdministrativeAct902
The thing I love the most so far is the significant increase in difficulty (brought about by enemy level scaling).
For melee builds, it really changes the combat… need to get those finishers to get your 25% health back.
ShearAhr
I like some changes I don’t like some other changes.
Scaling can go fuck off from any game. Makes the whole getting stronger thing just an illusion.
Pavlovs_Human
It feels like a video game now, instead of a alpha test.
WillowFruit
Perhaps unpopular opinion, but man do I absolutely love the new “loud” netrunner. Full frontal combat, disabling my enemies with hacks and then popping their head off with monowire, or getting infinite overclock with legendary synapse burnout & the raven deck. Furthermore, I love the overclock perks – if you happen to spec into body and int, the regen when you use overclock is hard to understate, it’s pretty ridiculous and you start feeling killable only if you overextend your quickhacks too much.
burialsuitx
Still learning what my build will be. Completely started over for 2.0 and Phantom Liberty. I love how good the cars feel and sound now and overall gameplay feels super solid. Also really like that I’m not just constantly having to loot anymore. I’ve been doing a stealth build with some nethacking and it’s been a blast.
fiszu3000
traffic on highway loop is no longer immersion-breaking
OfficalNotMySalad
Pistols feel great, have been using the one Wilson gives you towards the start and trying my best to upgrade it since there is no crafting perks. Crafting materials are goddamn rare now, anyone got tips for getting them?
Kasu_senpai
I’m loving my build rn. I have 20 int, 20 reflexes, 15 body, and I’ll be getting 20 tech in the dlc. Reflexes for the dashing and ar/smg perks, body for adrenaline, int for nettruning in and out of combat along with smart weapon perks bc that’s my fav weapon class, and tech for cyberware. I just dash around spamming my smart weapon and quickhacks into crowds of enemies and I can stealth with the netrunning so there’s that.

I never tried gorilla arms , blunt weapons , shotguns , lmgs or berserker cyberware but this playthru i’m really havin fun with these particular accessories and weaponry!
dsrange431
Katana, reflex and technical, lobbing grenades to soften them up and charging in like a helicopter blade! Can’t wait to get a Sandy!
Palanki96
Nothing yet, waiting for mods
Skill system seems overwhelming first so i’ll have to study them more. Was planning to use assault rifles with pistol but they separsted them and rifles have really useless skills so i’ll probably just focus on cybernetics
goose420aa
Swapped sandys to that one where you can deactivate it then continue my katana rampage. Love the new perks like the air slam and bullet deflect for the katana, just waiting to enter dogtown now
Xeliicious
Pure netrunner, with that new thermal katana as last resort when the RAM runs out.
camiton
Anyone getting crashes on pc ? Using katana combos ?
RammyJammy07
Netrunning is so much easier and more accessible at earlier levels
