I think my main criticism comes from the map layout being just alright. It’s a simple layout but I just don’t find it entertaining to go through like I do a map like CotD or SoE. Those maps have so many sight lines, verticality, and interesting pathways that you lose with a map like IX.
IX it’s kinda just open up to the temple and underground and “hey!” you opened up the whole map. Maybe that’s just an issue for me and in that case well if that sucks for me, but it just hampers my experience.
Other than that the map has too many boss or variant zombies going around at once. Traps are pretty good, some rng with the EE and some dumb EE steps.
But the atmosphere and general flow of the map after you get everything is really good, the miscellaneous EEs as well.

Another pro you should have added is the PAP camo. It looks amazing. Unless you consider that to be a part of “atmosphere.”

Does the shield upgrade (iron bull) work now? Did they ever actually fix the code to upgrade it on bo4? I deleted that shit because there was no zombies arcade in a black ops game.. let me down..

10, it is the perfect launch map of what a causal experience should be and has the layers enough for hardcore players to dig into.

My favourite map of BO4 and in my top 5 of all time, only thing I don’t like is the janky side quests that don’t register some times. Fire immunity and shield upgrade just don’t work some times.

BO4 was designed for this map, and it works very well. High rounds are very annoying but everything else is top tier with the EE, side quests, wonder weapon, and creativity.
