ill adjust but damn it was fun just slicing people up with ease now you gotta deal with everyone being tanky now

  2. CHEEZE_BAGS

im glad they made the hardest difficulty more challenging. it was a joke before

It seems like half this subreddit should be playing on very easy and the other half should be on very hard. Some people care about the story and characters, and the combat is what they have to get through to get. Some people care more about the combat and mechanics, and the story and characters are what they have to get through to get it.

We have all these people complaining they can’t just stand in front of people firing fully automatic weapons at them and want to play the game (I’m guessing) like a 90-year-old man trying to go up stairs. It’s like they’re trying to read a book, and complain that they have to turn the page every once in a while.

Then you have the other population, which I’m a part of, where I’m constantly playing cover, 1 tapping everything I can hit with a HS, and thoroughly enjoying the challenge of very hard (though I encountered a few enemies that still feel way too bullet spongy). I’ve played the game before, the story is nothing new, and so I am 100% focused on combat and the like.

To each their own! But I can’t help myself from laughing at all these posts that essentially just say

“what happened? Very hard is too hard now?”
Maybe what they were doing was easier than they thought.

I played hardcore44 on my last attempted playthrough so I don’t quite remember old vanilla very hard that well since it’s been a few years, but I’m still chewing through everything at lvl 11. Only bullet sponges are the cyberpsychos and its really not that bad since they are fine in small doses.

I’d actually like more challenge mechanics wise but the gunplay is finally enjoyable to me unmodded now. It’s definitely not as fun as turbo overkill on murder machine but it’s definitely gets the job done and the builds are feeling good.

  5. I mean I feel like the balancing is okay. I’m not having many issues on very hard using mostly pistols and melee.

An option to turn off enemy scaling to your level would definitely be appreciated. Not everyone loves Oblivion-style scaling.

Everything other than the cyberdeck has been adjusted well now the cyber deck cost way too much ram and does way less damage

Enemies take about as much damage as you, and the chromed out dudes take more.

    Seems fine to me.

I’m sad that the monowire basically became obsolete with 2.0 it was by far my favorite weapon in the game

What builds are y’all running because my Gorilla Arms still absolutely shred with Bezerk and the new perks lol

Excitement and salty tears. What any good update brings.

…Ok I see you, and i hear you, but i just shot someone in the face with rail-gun TWICE and they are still alive.

Maybe we could have found a more comfortable *middle-ground?*

I’m just glad headshots aren’t one hit kill anymore. Super immersion breaking. Like people have chrome installed in their head for a reason.

    These crying posts are hilarious

“Guuh my X build is garbage I don’t deal any damage”… he said after loading an old save on max level after an overhaul of literally every mechanic in the game

I mean, I understand it. My fear coming into 2.0 was whether or not the power fantasy will go away. And honestly, who doesn’t enjoy being a fuckin’ monster. But thankfully I can enjoy challenging combat as well. You don’t delete everything in sight, you gotta be a bit smarter. It’s all fun. But again, I do understand people’s love for just walking through encounters. The whole point for some is to feel like a NC legend. Helps when the world bows in your presence.

^(It seems like there’s some random time-stop enemy in every fight now which seems a bit weird.)

I just needed a few hundred more XP in quickhacking to max it out for the trophy 🙁

On normal difficulty I respecced back into a Sandevistan build like I had before with the new Militech deck, and without even spending half my points I was able to run train on dozens of police without even really optimizing too much. I don’t like damage sponges either, but seems like the simple answer is to not play on Very Hard and these people will still be having fun. It’s not like Very Hard on this game is a challenge in the way that Sekiro is challenging anyway, but people do love getting all up in a froth over their video game difficulty rather than considering what’s actually most fun for them

  21. Sunlighthell

Lol game became even easier on Very Hard because it seems armor now actually do something and damage output of player even without skills is still very high

  22. Leviathanhost89

Where is the comrades hammer? Is it safe? Is it alright?

  23. MidunestiNaneTurtle

It will take time for a lot of us to adjust to the new combat balancing. I was so used to sandevsitan, gorilla arms-ing everyone instantly, and now I’m trying a whole new build on a new very hard playthrough, and even though I think the new system isn’t perfect, it actually makes me have to use my brain and I definitely prefer that over how it used to be lol
