It’s been a day. What are your guys thoughts on the 2.0 update?

The game feels 10x better, looks a little better. It’ll take me awhile to get used to the new controls but I’m glad I’ll no longer skip dialogue by crouching.

The update is amazing the only problem I have with it is the way NCPD is marked on the first person view HUD, it’s distracting as hell when you’re walking around, too big and too noticing, It kinda breaks the immersion.

They should just be marked on the minimap and then only if they chase you.

That and that NCPD targets you when you try to help them on the NCPD Gigs around the city, although that’s probably a bug?

It’s so perfect man ….the game is what I imagined Cyberpunk would’ve been at the release and I’m glad I never really got into till the release of the 2.0 I’m in love with this game I spent 15 hour without even noticing and I’m a casual gamer I never really spent much more than 2 or 3 hour on a game before I got bored ….but this game in 2.0 damnnn

  4. I don’t want to sound like a fanboy but I’m trully loving the update. Everything since the little changes of QOL and the massive. Even some old bugs does not trigger to me anymore and since I installed the game on my ssd now loading times are almost inexistent. Also it runs better on my build and I think the world look even prettier than before. It’s a win win situation choom

  5. BigBoss738

Can I get an F for all my 1000 granates stocked?

  6. Feels like I’m playing a new game, even when starting with my lvl 50 character. I am enjoying it honestly. Something’s are jarring, but once you understand it, it gets better.

  7. I totally love it. The game feels more realistic, it’s nicer, cars sounds freaking amazing and the combat is much better, harder and alive. And small boses are muaw!

  8. darknessinzero777

Overall good, not a fan of the fact that even at max level and with the edge runner perk you can’t equip all the best cyberware and have to make sacrifices, tho I guess some people enjoy that RP aspect so it’s more a personal disappointment

On PS5 with a fresh start from the beginning…LOVING it. I have not played in about a year but after a few hours of playing, this was a significantly better experience. The balance changes feel fantastic especially around the skill tree. Love how crafting is not tied to this anymore. I actually like the change to stims and grenades being more like an ability vs a loot.

And damn is the combat improved so much. NCPD dont f&@k around sometimes! I got swarmed quickly by them after 2 stars. Had a Netrunner mixed within them and the dynamics of the fight were much better. The Netrunner felt like a “disruptor” for the police while they pushed forward.

Also, I noticed that after I dropped my stars (was up to 3), the police kinda remain in the area but go back to wondering around. When I got back on to the street, they spotted me and immediately jumped me back up to 1 Star. Was almost like they gave up looking for me but did not forget about me. Found that to be cool.

With how much improvement was made to the NPCs, I would be curious to see what CDPR could do in another year or two with full resources. Would love to see another DLC or even a sequel.

Love it, tho I’m not a fan of “broken” weapons enemies drop. Also is it me or do characters mouths move slower than they talk? Other than that, its great, I’m so happy the umbra and guillotine are in circulation

Great gameplay and QoL changes. I think only disapointment was that they promoted DLSS3.5 with ray reconstruction to be available for all RTX cards and it is not entirely true as you have to have override turn on. So if you have 3070ti like me it is running on unstable 15-40fps with large drops in the city… I expected, based on what they promoted, that you will have ray reconstruction just with classic ray tracing.

  12. symbiotics

Feels a lot smoother, I used to have 80fps average before on Ultra, no RTX, DLSS Balanced, with my 3070 on 1440p, now I average 90fps, and the game looks crisper in general, also love the UI changes, specially the messages app is so much easier to navigate now. I got into a gang fight just before meeting Dexter, accidentally hit a person and the police started chasing me with cars and even a bike, only for one of them to start a fight with the nearby Tygers, it was great!

  13. FumoStrongestSoldier

Will play when phantom liberty is out

  14. sordva__

Overall? I love it. I’m really enjoying the way everything changed, especially the driving system: cars and bikes are so much more fun to use now. The only thing I’m not really enthusiast with it’s the looting system: find some decent clothes it’s harder lol

  15. Stakleni_Kralj

Waiting to reinstall. See if my rig could handle it

  16. LordOfFedoras

Honestly I think it’s great. Even little changes like making unobtainable weapons actually obtainable and making weapons that should have been iconic actually iconic. It’s like they listened to fan feedback. The game is a challenge now which I absolutely love. I do miss using my revolvers for stealth but at the same time now I get to use a lot of weapons that I never really used that much. Speaking of which many weapons act very differently now. The vast majority are changed in fact and they’re very well balanced. There’s no definitive best just weapons that work better in certain situations. Atm I’m loving rouge’s pride pistol which is a weapon I found very underwhelming in 1.6. The sovereign shotgun which got a much needed buff and the black unicorn sword which can just be swung as fast as you want regardless of stamina usage are my personal favourites as of yet. Prejudice is awesome

  17. Brutal_Kebab

No idea why, but the QOL, the smoothness of everything and the more polished game make me more immerse. I am going through the main story again and damn is the first act gold…

  18. bluebadge

I played it for about 2 hour last night using an existing character so I could explore the cyberware/perks. They kind of nerfed a few things I liked. Vehicle combat and armed vehicles is cool. I witnessed a gunfight between two random NPC vehicles, got involved, then the police chased me down. Saw the new additions in Pacifica and the Space Port as well.

  19. I noticed that the in game character models look a lot better than they did before and I also love the new car sounds. Spent a bit of time driving around in the nomad Galena before getting to Jackie just to listen to the new engine sounds

  20. Cannot stop playing. There are so many new NCPD missions it’s keeping me super busy.

  21. Rubyurek

I miss my Netrunner build :c Patch itself is great, but my build on pure Quickhacking and without weapons goes unfortunately no more I have the feeling. Would wish that there are ways to bring back the again.

  22. TheMightyMudcrab

There’s less stuff. My kleptomania itch ain’t scratching. Anyone found an iconic guillotine?

  23. thunderlips187

It’s like getting a free game!

This thing was unworkable on my ps4 on release but with the PS5 and now 2.0 it’s completely different! Plus since I paid for it so long ago It’s completely FREEEEE (kinda 😂)

  24. MrSadieAdler

My thoughts are they should’ve delayed the game even more

  25. TurboLobstr

Plays like a whole new game. The characters and the dialogue are pretty much the same, but everything is better across the board.
Graphics look great while running better on the same hardware. Gunplay feels better. Perks are more interesting. Ditching the previous armor system opens up a whole world of cosplay (yes I know outfits have been a while, but it’s nice to not have to hunt for armor mods). Skill progression is not capped by stat points anymore, which was a pet peeve of mine. This is the game they should have released the first time.

My only complaint so far is tech still feels like a mandatory tree since it buffs your cyberware capacity.

  26. Fanboycity

Enemies on very hard can be total damage sponges and it feels like the Tier 5+ Sandevistans hardly last longer than the a couple seconds, but that’s me nitpicking. I’m having A LOT of fun with this update. Edgerunner is probably my favorite perk next to the dash perks. Like, holy shit when it kicks in and V starts laughing like a psychopath?! Chills.

  27. – wayfinding is a bit broken. I get told to walk through walls
    – the perks / points reporting system after a fight is annoying. I’d prefer they show all the stats at once for a little longer than 6 pop ups
    – consolidating crafting items needs a chain reaction — I want this level of item, just make it happen. I shouldn’t have to manually make each iteration of “next level of junk” along the way

thats all I got so far

    [edit]
why do clothing items have a ranking color now? that seems completely pointless.

  28. HaikenRD

I have to point out the negatives as most people here already pointed out the positives. The Random NPC AI including their Driving AI is broken. If you are on a gig or NCPD hustle and there’s a shootout, the NPCs on the nearest roads will panic and there will be broken down cars when you get there, but because of these broken cars on the road the entire traffic and pedestrian stops and just stand around. There is also a case where I was doing this NCPD hustle and there are a lot of civilians nearby and after the shootout, they’re all gathered in one spot repeating the lines about how they’re afraid to die and that there’s a “cyberpsycho”. Aiming a gun at them won’t disperse them and they just keep repeating their lines.

This became very obvious to me as they kept talking about Improved AI for Patch 2.0 but they’re actually better during 1.63. At least for the random NPCs. Throwing grenades at their cars also don’t make them panic, sometimes they just completely ignore it like it’s nothing. Calling your vehicle also became more buggy as it ignores that there are cars on the path and completely glitches into other cars and exploding both cars in the process.

All of these is from a new game character as I wanted to experience it from the very beginning.

  29. Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like it.

Looting: the broke the joy of looting. No more excitement when you see a blue or orange. There is a reason why 90% of RPG out there use tier system loot, and provides a lot if it: Its because it works. I am especially upset with the broken weapons. Clothes are now basically useless, especially since the Transmog was already out since 1.6, and makes cyberware ESSENTIAL for gamng progression (see Perk tree feedback below)

Weapons: I think they got nerfed overall? **Especially the smart ones**. The good side it that you can get smart weapons a lot earlier (And the hand cyberware to use them doesnt not cost a fortune), but at early level they are useless, especially the shotguns. The fact that you need ~1 sec for the lock-in when they are shooting you with their own shotgun made them useless. Unless you invest in Int. Ashura smart sniper rifle also tends not to hit a lot of the times (but maybe is because I was against the claws?). Another thing I dislike is that sometimes you get lock on in the weapon recharge animation and can’t run away. Especially annoying when you are low health and want to run for cover (but I can’t remember if it was like that pre 2.0)

Perks: Love and hate here. I love that crafting is not longer tied to Tech, but somehow I also feel that now Tech is even more mandatory because of the Cyberware tree. I dislike the fact that smart weapons are tied with hacking (especially the ult perk). Love the changes to the other trees though, especially the Cool one.

Skills progressions: One Dislike here is that we get updates every 5 level instead of each level, and we only have 5 :/ Getting netrunning progression for using a smart weapon does not make too much sense to me

Crafting: Not tried it yet, but again, love that is untied to Perk/Tech trees.

Cyberware: Overall very good. So first the three things I did not like: First I am seething that the good Sandis are no more (I am trying a Katana build Hardcore character, so I really relied on that 15 sec CD for survivability). Second for the OS, I feel there is less choice: Yes there are more models, but there are no more mods to attach to? Last is that we do not have “specialists” ripperdocs anymore. It feels like now every ripperdoc is the same. Like: Limits to cyberware (hello Martinez), more cyberware (except OSs) available even in the early game makes for a lot more fun builds. A lot of cyberware is no more wallgardened behind stats, but simply improve if you have the right ones.

Pots and granades: I like the limit, especially on granades: I feel I am using them a lot more now. But the enemy also got a lot more annoying now. I found myself sometimes fighting a group 5 mobs, and 90% of my time was changing position left and right endlessly because of enemy granade spam (I would like that enemy use guns more than granades, or limit the number they can use. I loved gunfights more that granade spamming). It also kind of make it mandatory now to use Granades to initiate combat, with some of the waepons damage nerf (?) which tends to kill civilians if fighting in the city and get the police on my ass. Health pots I kind of like the change.

Netrunning: having tried an Int buiild, so no feedback here atm.

Police system and vehicle combat: Overall VERY good, but while its very good for the immersion, I don’t consider it a core part of the combat/game.

One thing I love though is the new AI. The enemy seems a lot smarter when they fight (even though with Granades are annoying, you have to give it to them: if you get infinite amount of them, why not make use of it?)
