Everything is is mostly driver default except shader cache which I have set to 10gb

Anyway.
Battled through the frame studders and frame drops and thought I finally had them dialed in (this has been about as bad as getting rdr2 to play correctly in town) I was replaying the game because it was so choppy and I had to fight the thing thing to get it optimized for 3 full days so once I got it dialed in I wanted to replay it bc it had ruined the immersion completely having to deal with all that crap

So yah. . Long story short I had to go afk for like 5mins and I noticed something.

When the game booted up it always had between 13gb of ram *not vram* just ram ram allocated depending on where I was in the game etc
And when I came back from what I was doing (5min tops) the ram had skyrocketed to almost 20gb and kept climbing! So I turned on my camera and recorded it.

I’m wondering if this is what was the issue all along? My pagefile is set to be managed by windows and usually gets set to a min of 4928mb with a Max of 16gb (50% of my ram)

When it was done doing what I show in the video I exited the game and the freaking thing had used 6gb of page file sitting in front of this waterfall doing NOTHING!.

Similar stories/experiences anyone?

How did you fix it? Manually set the pagefile to a MIN of whatever the game uses to start with and increase the max so this doesn’t happen??

Because I think the stuttering the entire time has been because windows is having to increase the pagefile over and over due to this memory leak issue.

Let me know. Thanks for reading
