For main missions, listen to what Johnny has to say, what he suggest, what he wants you to do but do the exact opposite.
Won’t affect the main story BUT you should google the quest “Chippin in” if you want to get the secret endgame mission.
For side missions and gigs you should explore the mission area thoroughly for fun easter eggs and secrets.
Virtuous_Raven
Nothing, first time players should go into a game blind otherwise they might as well just watch people play the game.
Tranquocjones
At this point nothing, because when the 2.0 version is released in a few days, everyone is going to be a first-time player.

Explore, explore EVERYWHERE, ignore the main missions until you know the city like the back of your hand

Dont rush into the main storyline.
It feels rushed after the heist for some reason. “U got two weeks to live kid” = everyone panicking into the main story. Don’t fall for it lol.
No_Tamanegi
I used to always say “Specialize, don’t generalize” because the game’s old skill tree made generalists notably weak characters. I don’t know if that’ll be true any more.
So I’ll say this: Take your time and explore. The story presents a sense of urgency to it but its a false one. You have time to do shit, take advantage of that.
Blue dialog will give you more information about your current stage in the conversation. Yellow dialog will present choices within that dialog. It will advance the conversation and may have consequences.

For immersion, do not fast travel. The best thing I did was actually drive to every single waypoint I needed to go to. The city is so amazing and what you can find is so much fun.

You don’t need to know a thing. All you may want to know is that the the world is in the gutter and you’re in a futuristic dystopia.

Use fast travel sparingly. Walk a lot. Read the shards you find in the NCPD assignments and connect the threads.

First time player experience is best if you go in blind. Make mistakes, you may miss out on some stuff, but you will have the best – fullest experience. A second run would be your go-to for completion reasons, or to experience something different. 🙂 Have fun with the game choom!

That Cyberpunk is a tabletop RPG written by Mike Pondsmith, and thus Cyberpunk 2077 follows a certain lore.
It’s not a depiction of our future.
Electrical_Crab_5808
Take your time and do gigs and side missions to level your character that will be more important than ever with 2.0 coming also really think about what build you want and what your strengths are and put points into it. For example if your a netrunner put some points in stealth and intelligence if your a sandevistan user put points in reflexes and body. One more thing always collect enemy weapons and armor I advise you sell the armor and scrap the weapons in my experience it’s good to have a surplus of weapons parts to make ammo, grenades and upgraded your weapons you could do the same with clothing but thanks to the transmog system I just make some cool outfits and put on whatever armor I find that’s better than what I’m using.

only spec into intelligence if your planning on going netrunner. it doesn’t serve any other purpose in other builds.

I would maybe put your playthrough on pause for the next few days. The game is getting a pretty substantial update soon and by the time you start to get comfortable with the game systems, it’s all going to be completely changed.

It will not end well.
This is not a genre that has happy endings so don’t expect them. The fun is the ride and the adventure. Raging against the machine, knowing the machine will outlive you but maybe you can scar the world to prove you existed.

That it’s pretty underwhelming and mid. Main story is very short and it feels like a ton of content was cut. The open world is empty and lifeless. It’s a solid 7/10 game.

1. Go with the flow
2. Dont over think the cyberware
3. the invisible shield is one of the best cyberware to help in messy or netrunning situation
4. if u are going for a netrunning build, the western most ripperdoc in pacifica has legendary ramdisk and also (prob. Heatsink). Prioritize ram and tech for a netrunning build, especially ram.
5. think before using attribute points
6. use the first playthrough for testing out a specific build
7. testing out one build will give u a good idea on how to create other builds
8. when hacking wall terminals, it goes – right right left left or left left right right
9. fuck river

Same here, one act in here’s what I’ve found so far:
Morro Rock Radio station’s radio personality is played by the creator of Cyberpunk and really fun to listen to.
Do main missions only up to Act 2 when the game really opens up.
Take your time, look around. The game very cleverly hides bits of lore everywhere.

* There are a few side quests that give you free cars and free guns. Don’t buy these.
* Figure out your playstyle before investing your new skill points.
* Both male and female V get great romance options, but definitely try to finish these storylines.
* Don’t miss the Perallez mission. If you get called by a politician after you meet River, get in the car and enjoy the ride.

Play on easiest difficulty on your first run through. Then turn the heat up on the next run and play on the hardest difficulty. Research “Secret Ending” before your 2nd run through tho. Thank me later.
