In the event you want to design one, look up the “Lines of Non-Extension”, and align the design to those. That will minimise distortion as the skin moves around.

I’d describe it as geometric biomechanical. Could also just be robotic/cybernetic, but the context on a person has a biomech feel.
Agree with another comment though, it looks like a design for a spine rather than the arm.
