**Skill Trees and Perks Overhaul**:
* Skill trees have been reorganized, unlocking new sections as you level up your attributes.
* Introduction of new perks and skills that can significantly alter the play style.
* Skills are no longer limited to passive percentage-based buffs; they now offer new abilities that deeply impact gameplay.
* Some favorite new abilities include air dash, stunt jock, ninjutsu, hack queue, and overclock.
* Some skills have been removed, particularly in crafting perks.
* Players can reset their attributes once and refund perk points if needed.
**Improved User Interface (UI)**:
* The UI has been rebuilt to be more visually pleasing and efficient in displaying relevant information.
* Enhanced quick select weapon menu to easily swap between cyberware and grenades during combat.
**Police Overhaul**:
* Police now patrol Night City and will hunt you down if you commit a crime.
* The line of sight plays a significant role in the police system, similar to GTA.
* Escalation system where continuous offenses will escalate the police response, including calling in Max Tac.
**Changes in Cyberware**:
* Introduction of a cyberware limit that increases as you level up or invest in the tech tree.
* Modifications to cyberware can improve armor rating.
* Specific cyberware can be upgraded at Ripper docs using crafting components.
**Clothing Fixes**:
* Clothes are no longer tied to armor, allowing players to choose outfits without worrying about combat viability.
* Some clothing items still offer stats boosts, such as faster quick hacks or improved melee damage.
* New feature where any dismantled clothing item is added to your wardrobe, allowing you to wear it later.
**Buying Vehicles**:
* Easier process to buy cars through the auto fixer website, which automatically adds purchased vehicles to your garage.
**Car Combat**:
* The 2.0 update introduces vehicular combat where players can use one-handed weapons while driving.
* Players can shoot with specific controls or even use a sword while riding a motorcycle, adding a new dimension to combat and allowing for dynamic photos.
**Health and Stamina System Overhaul**:
* The health system now features an inhaler with two charges on a cooldown, transforming health items from consumables to equippable items that can be used indefinitely.
* Players need to be more strategic about when to heal, encouraging them to take cover and plan their attacks.
* The stamina system has been revamped, where sprinting no longer drains stamina but other actions like shooting, dashing, and attacking do, forcing players to time their attacks well during combat.
**Crafting**:
* Crafting is no longer tied to skills or perks, and players can craft or upgrade any items, regardless of their rarity, as long as they have the necessary components.
* This change makes it easier to keep iconic weapons viable throughout the game.
* However, loading into an older save might cause some issues, such as needing to recraft some quick hacks.

Wait… They remove the armor rating from clothes, but leave the wardrobe? What is it’s purpose now?
Looks like Cyberpunk’s rolling out the red carpet for ninjas, car enthusiasts, and fashion gurus alike
Thanks OP. I would add this quote from [PC Gamer](https://www.pcgamer.com/forget-phantom-liberty-cyberpunk-2077s-free-20-patch-is-a-staggering-upgrade-on-its-own/) to complete the description of the Skill Trees and Perks Overhaul:
There’s another new progression system separate from Perks: These are just called Skills. There are five categories (Headhunter, Netrunner, Shinobi, Solo, Engineer) and they automatically grant unique milestone upgrades just by earning XP toward that playstyle. The upgrades are largely stat increases, but some of them award extra perk points or modify abilities on the perk trees. Each one goes all the way up to 60.
Are there any articles that talked About the new random encounters in night city? Or the infinite missions?
These changes sound amazing, I recently finished my second playthrough, and I can’t wait to start a 3rd on the 21st. I don’t get hyped for games much anymore (due to being let down time and time again), but this seems like a huge improvement to a game that I already thoroughly enjoy.
This sounds great.
On a side note, I hope they’ve done something about driving. Seriously, the vehicle handling is just awful in this game, at least with a kb + m.
The changes to healing sound absolutely fantastic, a much more intuitive way of handling it, albeit simplified. No more spamming MaxDocs and having to manage and re-equip if you run out of the better ones.
I’m so psyched to start a new playthrough on 2.0 and get to play with all these changes. Haven’t really played at all for almost a year now, after putting about 400 hours into it, so it’ll probably feel almost like a brand new game.
First off, would like to say props to CDPR for sticking this one out and actually working on making this game the best it can possibly be.
But damn, it really does put into perspective how much more time in the oven this game needed before being released.
The last clothing fix is already in the game. Did they mention that it was new or just oversight?
When did they announce a garage? I didn’t notice that in any of the streams.
with the % damage increases from perks gone, wonder where we get that damage from now. Baked into weapons themselves? Or Enemies HP lowered slightly or something to compensate?
I think ima just replay the game this looks sick.
i am new to this so sorry if my question is stupid but are cyberpunk 2.0 and phantom liberty two different updates? If so, what are the biggest differences?
Hope they change the demon trophy, selfishly lol but either way I’ll be starting a new game it sounds like
Still crossing my fingers for a decent overhaul of NPC AI and open world interactivity/dynamicity.
I really hope they reworked or improved those systems too!
Shooting costs stamina now but sprinting doesn’t? I’ll try to reserve my judgement till I see it in game but that sounds worrying
Need an fov slider for console bad it’s unplayable
The only change that made me go “hmm” a little bit is that shooting now requires stamina, but sprinting doesn’t anymore. That seems like an odd choice – I know dashing/dodging and melee attacking in combat costs stamina, but shooting? I hope that doesn’t become more irritating hindrance than a cool balancing feature.
Other than that, it all sounds genuinely good so far. Can’t wait to see the expansion in action, I hope it plays as well as it sounds on paper. I’d love to jump into the game again and not feel like it’s missing that certain something for once.
Crafting changes are HUGE for me. I got tired of having to powerlevel Crafting and use my perk points there for every single one of my playthroughs. Iconic weapons are such a big part of the game for me, so I was basically tied to an entire perk tree lol.
Now if only they’d strip the obnoxious fucking Looter Shooter mechanics.
I’ll hard pass until the rebalance mods come out to unfuck it.
Looter Shooters are goddamned cancer. If I wanted to play Borderlands, I’d play Borderlands 2.
Wait, shooting drains stamina?
