Attention all PC players, important note from CDPR dev regards your PC Specs
Before release CP2077 2.0 and PL please check conditions of your cooling systems in PC. We use all what you have, so workload on CPU 90% on 8 core is expected. To save your time please run Cinebench or similar and check stability of your systems 😉https://t.co/TWOAkP0ONu

Oh boy the launch of 2.0 will be *interesting* to say the least
He also said this in a tweet back in august
> Most of you focusing probably on new content in PL and 2.0, but apart of game changes engine itself had to be upgraded. DLSS 3.5 is beautiful top of iceberg, but we had to add support for expansion pack, find a lot of memory and cpu cycles for new content or new mechanics.
EDIT: Filip just responded to someone asking if their I7-8700 will still run the game and he replied *will be good*
So I don’t get it, i don’t know my way around Intels but it doesn’t seem like the I7-8700 is mega powerful?
I wonder how my PC it will handle the 2.0 update. I have i7 4790 and a RTX 2060 super. 😅
How about explaining why do i need 7800x3d to get 60 fps at 1080p high settings dlss, or why do they recommend 20 and 24 gb ram? Does that mean i should cripple my current rams and dual channel and insert another shitty 4-8 gb ram stick? Why is 7900xtx in the same tier as 3080 when it’s 50% more powerful. Why is 3080 recommended in specs for 12 gb vram when most 3080’s are 10gb model. Why for higher tiers i9 12900 is recommended over i7 12700 when there is literally only couple percent difference between them? Also who the fuck uses the non k versions? Why are there no 1440p specs, why there is 70gb drive recommendation when the current game is 60gb and dlc is leaked to be roughly 30gb which means you need at least 100gb free space to fit in cyberpunk. Why there is no mention of dlss being used when clearly 2060 super even right now cannot run this game at 60 fps high without dlss.
Well that will be a change my CPU utilization atm is 2% in Cyberpunk 2077 and I only have a Ryzen 5 5600. Now I need to shake out my pants look under the cushons of the sofa, check under the bed etc for some spare cash for a 5700. boo
Guys… I am so new to PC gaming and I have bo clue what this means. Can someone explain?
I just got a laptop with a i7 13700hx… Should I do something?
I have a 3440x1440p monitor that I absolutely love, but Cyberpunk is one of the few games I really struggle running (recently upgraded cpu from i7 5930k to 7800x3d) and my 2070 (which I bought for initial release). I wish I could force blackbars on it so I could run 2560×1440 or even 1080p but out of all games Cyberpunk sadly doesn’t have that option. If I run those resolutions the game is very stretched or will be windowed, which to be frank, both options kind of suck. I’m nervous for this new update, even with DLSS the game is fairly choppy (I do get 60fps but with fairly noticable drops).
we’re so fucked
YES!!
I don’t think there’s been a PC melting game since Battlefield 4!!!
Can’t wait for my fans to sound like a tornado!
If I’m playing Starfield decently with my RTX 3050, I’ll handle 2.0 and PL.
I still have my 3300x with a 1070, welp.
At least it looks better than Starfield, wonder if it also… RUNS better…
Time to finally cook my laptop I guess.
They could at least explain in detail to us the reason behind all that, did they really improve the game THAT much or they’re simply incompetent?
That’s it. I’m not upgrading the game until I upgrade my PC lol.
I have a 5600x and a 3070 so I’m hoping my stuff is good.
32 watercooled cores are ready 😀
My GTX 1080ti hasn’t failed me yet. Crossing my fingers that this wont be that game.
We went from “Yo this game with mods is dope! My rig got that beef right there” to that meme with the guy playing on a burning piano.
man my R5 5500 will have to put extra work
My 10700 and 3060ti with 32 gigs of ram net me a solid 70+ at 1440p with quality DLSS. Im curious of how hard the performance hit will be at 1080p with DLSS turned off.
Well this is the game that will kill my i5 4690k and GTX 1080.
Is there a way to prevent Steam from auto-updating the game?
Pfff got a fractal design 280 mm AIO on sale, for 10 euros less then a good Noctua cooler.(not even the best one) The only thing that worries me if its gonna be a hot day, because my PC is also my winter heater. God I hate summer!
Sorry but I don’t jack about pc’s can someone help me? I have a rtx 4060 and an i5-13400f. Will I be able to run the game?
I wonder how my Intel Core i7-12650H & GeForce RTX 3050 will do😭😭
my 5800x3d is sweating from anything… damn I’m scared
That doesn’t feel like something they should be bragging about lol
Cool. Admission that they’re releasing a half-baked product this time. At least they were courteous enough to “warn”
The end is near
And yet I bet they won’t implement the 8 core smt fix…90% for what? Cause they added ai pathfinding? Goddamn sometimes I wonder what are these games doing more than games from 2015 in terms of cpu..
