It ends differently if you don’t punch him in the face during the box match. He can survive.
The goal is to not have that be Ozab’s end………

He literally tells you watch the nose, as in not hit him on it.
Remove any mods from your arms that do anything but physically damage. If you have a cyberdeck removed legendary short circuit. Also don’t hit him in the face.
To answer the question he has it because he got into a fight with his brother i think and ended up with a grenade in his face

I killed him, too, the first time, but he’s such a cool character that I decided to go on reddit to see whether or not you could avoid his death.
As it turns out, you just need to avoid his face – and more specifically his nose – when you hit him. It’s pretty easy with gorilla arms and a sandevistan, just hit his back.

I feel like they missed a great opportunity for a side quest, “Ozob’s nose job” where you take him to a ripper doc to get his nose fixed
Adjust your view DOWN when fighting him, so you target the torso. (It’s the same way you take down Razer Hughes.)
