So, I’m going to try to make this as short as I can:
I understand millions of players have already unlocked this. Hell, probably within the first month of the game being out. But for me, this is my greatest achievement in my years of playing Zombies.
This morning, I finally unlocked Dark Aether camo. Now, mind you, I didn’t start grinding for camos until after Cold War wasn’t getting much support. All the weapons xp tokens that we used to get, gone. Except for once in a while, a daily challenge would only drop a 15 minute one.
So we’re looking at ending of 2021 when I started, right after Vanguard came out. For whatever reason, that’s when I decided to go for camos and easter egg completions. Snipers took me the longest. Leveling up those fuggers took forever, and Outbreak was the only way to do it for me.
So, why did it take me almost 2 years? I’m a big gamer. Plenty of other games came out that would grab my attention, and I would but CW on the back burner. But, I’ve found my way back time and time again. I have a long time buddy that wanted to start playing zombies, just because MW3 zombies is coming. So for the last few weeks, I’ve been helping him with easter eggs, along with finishing my final quest.
This morning,on my Type 63, all I had to do was get 200 kills in total without being touched. I did it. Last, was my slow as all hell LMG, the MG60. I had that section of camos to finish, plus I needed about 230 more critical kills. 200 kills? Done within about 8 rounds. Then it was time to focus more on crits. By the end of round 10, I got it.
This is my crowning achievement in my years of playing Zombies. (Been playing since WAW). And I’m proud to share it!
