Vengeance RGB Pro and Dominator Platinum Kits Virtually the Same??
I recently decided to upgrade my 2 modules of DDR4 3600mhz 2X8GB Vengeance RGB Pro with the aim of going up to 32GB.
I initially ordered a 32GB kit of the same ram with the plan to replace my current two modules and thinking I would be upgrading to a dual rank set as I’ve seen most 16GB modules are dual rank. After learning this was wrong and the 32GB kit of 2X16GB 3600Mhz C18 is single rank per module, as well as seeing many reviews of this ram underperforming compared to other kits, I returned it and ordered a very well reviewed kit the 32GB kit of Dominator Platinums 2X16GB 3600Mhz. This was expected to be dual rank per module exactly what I wanted.
After receiving the dom plats kit I search up the revision number of the kit I received (Rev 3.44) realising this is the same revision number I had on the previous Vengance Pro kit. I also discover this revision is only single rank and shares the same Micron B dies as the Vengeance kit with the same rated speed and exact timings does it make these two kits virtually identical?
Back of packaging of both Kits shown with Timings and revision numbers.
Is there any performance advantage of the dom plats kit over the Vengeance kit now they are both single rank? Or did I just pay extra for the nicer looks with no performance difference. I have seen that the rev 3.31 of the dom plats is dual rank per module with Samsung B dies, so am dissapointed this has been changed.
Is there any benchmarks out there of this newer 3.44 revision of the dom plat kit as I haven’t been able to find anything.

AFAIK dominator has always primarily been higher binned RAM even when the timings were the same.
