Dead of the Night, and I’ve only **just** learned the map last year!

I was always more of a vintage zombies players anyway, much prefer the older and simpler maps.

I was instantly taken by the by the Victorian mansion aesthetic.

The characters are great and the map has a vintage-ass layout. I don’t much care for the Easter egg, but getting the Stake Knife and upgraded Allister’s Folly is some of the most fun I had in zombies in a long time.

Kino. First map I never played. It is the map that got me into zombies. Even then it is still a great map

  3. MOTD for sure. Huge turning point for treyarch zombies. I feel like it saved the franchise, after the victus map series

  4. BeholdenYeti

Ascension. It was my favorite back in the day and it still is up there today. However after playing Dead of the Night for the first time this year I really like it.

  5. Agitated-Wall534

Dead of the Night. I’m also a BO4 zombies lover so, ya know lol. Ancient Evil is dope too! It’s next on my list of EEs to do once I beat IX!

  6. GeneralKenobi923

Moon. It has been my favorite map since black ops

  7. Significant_Inside74

Der Anfang. The only reason is because the Vanguard engine was essentially a 1:1 copy of the MW2019 engine which is the greatest game engine we’ve had in cod history

My top 3 picks are pretty boring (DE, Mob, Origins), but after those… Ancient Evil and Forsaken

    #Shadows of Evil:
Shadows of Evil, it will never leave no. 1.

    #Blood of the Dead:
I also genuinely love Blood of the Dead, amazing Main Quest, brutally underrated weapon arsenal, great side-quests..

And not to mention the amazing story, I think it was Jason Blundell who said Blood of the Dead was his best work yet (might’ve been Craig Houston), and I couldn’t agree more. Great job, Treyarch! Truly a tragedy Cold War.

Also.. the Boss Fight, do you really wanna fight Mephistopheles at the end? And do everything again? Common, it was obviously designed to be a comforting end to an overall challenging Main Quest. Instead of dreading it, you’re relaxed at the end, and i love it. Again.. an absolutely phenomenal map!

    #IX:
IX is also phenomenal, in almost every metric.

  10. easily zombies in spaceland. it just has so much fun stuff to do! everything from the minigames to the arcade to the wonder weapons to the traps, its my third fav cod zombies map right behind buried and shadows

  11. Benmyster

Same as you. One of the best locations for a zombies map and the use of the mythology is perfection. Also the best Easter egg ever made.

  12. IamNotARedditor-

Moon for me, outside the obvious choices like MoTD, Shadows ect.. Moon is something I’ll always comeback to and enjoy because of it’s unique atmosphere and really fun EE. My top 5 (in no order) is Shadows, MoTD, Der Riese, Moon and IX.

  13. Why20006

Die rise, because you actually have to pay attention or fall to your death lmao.

  14. semendrinker42069

GK will forever be my favorite map

    Dragons 🙂

  15. BlueDemon999

    Mob of the Dead.

Map layout is very good, EE was pretty easy and very interesting, cast was good and the Hell’s Retriever is an amazing Wonder Weapon.

  16. average_-Bo4--hater_

Whats with all these dumbasses picking BO4 maps as their top 5s. Like i’m past being annoyed and am now borderline angry

  17. Correct-Recording275

Probably shadows, the atmosphere is everything

  18. falconfan663

Trazit the one thing I didn’t like was getting power because when I played bo2 I was utter doo doo at the game, would love a remake of Trazit but doubt it will ever get one because let’s face it there’s about 12 people that actually like tranzit

  19. RAddison3

I can’t not love Transit, though flawed, a game with 4 others is like no other zombies experience

  20. zalcecan

Verruckt and it’s not nOsTaLgIa, the map is genuinely fantastic with many ways to play it and super challenging. All in a great atmosphere.

  21. lettuce520

    Mauer Der Toten.

A great map with a great travel method via zip lines from building to building

A good special enemy with the Disciples which is also a support type enemy which is pretty unique

A fun Easter egg with unique and cool steps and cool bossfight

Strong and unique wonder weapon with the CRBRS and it’s upgrades

    Klaus

    Pretty good lore and story

  22. CuzBenji

Shaolin shuffle. I love long complicated Easter eggs what can I say.

  23. GenKaiju

My top 5 are Tranzit, Nuketown, Die Maschine, Classified and The Giant

  24. CyrusLight

Origins is a no brainer for me

So I’ll stand ground on Verrukt instead. Since it released on chronicles I’ve loved the map. I never really gave it a change in WaW and didn’t buy it for BO1, but trying it out again I got to appreciate the atmosphere and difficulty of the map more. Even going back on WaW for the full experience.

The best way I can describe it is Nacht went the slow barren feel. The fear you felt was of the unknown. Verrukt you felt trapped, and what was after you was in front of you and quickly approaching. And the space you had made you incredibly claustrophobic

  25. PooManReturns

kino der toten, definitely. yes you can say it’s overrated but if you wanna jump into some classic zombies then it’s definitely the go to map
