Hello! I don’t have a station to post yet but I’m curious to know from others…

I currently have a single 27” and need more real estate. I’m considering a super ultrawide (49”) instead of a second 27”.

Can I ask how you all feel about the PPI? The main thing holding me back from pushing the button on a 49” is the PPI being 106 or so. I’m used to either Apple screens with super high PPI or at least my 27” 4K Dell which has about 160 PPI.

Dual monitors would obviously give me more PPI but I can’t deny the sweetness of a centered super wide screen with no middle bezel.

I use a 49″ Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo in my home office and a 65″ LG C9 in my home theater. Same computer hooked up to both with very long fiber optic cables and honestly it’s not the PPI that bothers me. It’s the difference in contrast from OLED to Mini LED that I find I obsess over. The diff between 4k and 1440p is noticeable, but not something that would bar me from getting super ultra wide.

Also, nics steelcase amia chair. I got one too.

  2. I can’t edit, so I’ll also add that I use this almost entirely for work, which is mostly meetings and writing documents/presentations. I do all my gaming and watching on my TVs because I like to sit back on a couch after being lean forward on the monitor all day.

I’m also curious about the 38” or 40” UWs out there that have 2180 on the vert.

  3. I definitely could feel the downgrade when switching between my Macbook and my 27 inch (110 ppi)

You’re going to notice a difference. I wouldn’t personally, I’ve been seriously tempted by superwides, but am also on 28” 4k and don’t want the downgrade
