Delided the Ryzen 5 7600x CPU due to high temps at 5700mhz and 1.380V. Core temps were like 10C difference between each other. Max cores were hitting 99 while lowest cores were 80.
After delid, I tried polishing the die on a 4000grit stone like I usually do, and noticed different patterns on die itself, showing the hight differences on the die itself.
Also solder was not even on the die after ihs removal.
I applied liquid metal on the dies and bottom of ihs, polished IHS on 3000-6000stone than applied liquid metal on ihs and waterblock.
Now all temps are around 85 at same voltages and frequency.
I used prime95 to validate and cinebench runs to see the temps.
Core ratings shown in hydra are 120-130-130-122-120-119.
Next thing I will do is replace original ihs with a half thickness one to see if ihs thickness affects temps even further.
My temps drop to 35-38 same millisecond the tests stop so I guess cores have troubles with transferring heat to ihs and waterblock itself.
Have 2×240 rads in and GPU on the same loop with one pump-res combo and one pump without res.

I give it a month, maybe 2 months. No way a 7600 was throttling on a custom loop 🤣 if it was throw the loop away and get A 15 dollar air cooler
