Blood of the Dead | What was Richtofen’s plan after they escape Alcatraz?

In Blood of the Dead, near the end of the Main Quest. Richtofen liquidated Ultimis’ souls (Dempsey, Takeo) to open a gateway out of “Hellcatraz” (Blood of the Dead/Shadowman’s pocket dimension).

As we know, things don’t go as planned, and >!Richtofen becomes an “everlasting engine” in the Dark Mechanism!<. So.. what was his plan after they escape? They can’t meet Maxis at the house, because they no longer have Ultimis’ souls.
I know he was probably focused on escaping first, then worry about getting to Maxis, but still, he ruined his own plan.
