Go to around 8:30 in the video. That’s the part of the song that I recognized.
I was listening to it, thinking “Wtf, why is that familiar” and then I started singing the lyrics in my head. That’s when I realized “ohhh it’s that dumb song that goes “mainichi PonPon sasetene, PonPon sasetene” (「毎日ポンポンさせてね、ポンポンさせてね」). “Let me PonPon every day”.
Anyway, it sounds a lot more palatable –even beautiful– as an acoustic arrangement, as played by the Aldecaldo guitarist. 🙂
Pretty much every NPC playing guitar around Night City plays this version of Pon Pon Shit. Best song in the game.
