In the process of updating my office setup and would like to get a sit/stand desk. As you can see I have to prop my current desk up on blocks as I’m 6’4″ and most desks are never high enough. I work in an office and have wanted to start standing up while playing a game at night as I sit down for most of the day.
I’d like something at least 1200+mm wide and 700+mm deep. Ideally a little bigger than my current desk I think. My budget is fairly open however located in Australia so shipping is a big factor. My other big factor is sturdiness. I can’t stand a wobbly desk.
I work from home occasionally but mostly used for games and light PC use.
My main monitor has some bias lighting but I was thinking of putting a strip on the back of the desk as well to luminate the wall.
Any other suggestions to improve the space are welcome! I own this property and won’t be moving for a long time, so turning it in to a long term space is what I am doing.

A little side note on the simulator sitting to the side:
I had an accident with a curved 34″ monitor and broke the LCD so it’s just sitting dormant until I can afford a new screen. Unfortunately, it’s pretty low on the priority list at the moment.. The USB hub on the side of the desk helps to turn the sim accessories on and off when i’m not using it and the wireless keyboard is used purely for that.

I’m really not an Ikea fan but this IKEA Height Adjustable Table, was actually a firm desk were I was able to adjust it to the right position, there are several different ones. I had the table plenty of room for everything.

I used the Jarvis brand and wouldn’t use anything else.

got 2 of them from https://fully.com/
Not sure if they ship internationally but Desk Haus is solid
Skip the desk and invest in Fanatec 😉
I got a desky and pretty happy with it
