I played this god awful nightmare disaster of a map for the first time today and it was agony. It made me very upset, Why do you guys like it are you a bunch of masochists or?

Unpopular opinion but I preferred when the map itself tried to mess you up as well. I don’t think tranzit is the most amazing map im just saying that more in general

My brain disease is that I can’t help but optimize my play when I boot a game. Der Eisen? Save each zombie as efficiently as possible and get bow immediately to start the upgrade. Origins? Quickly get through trenches while turning on power and finding each piece, checking every spawn location over the same optimized path.
Transit though, is pure chaos. Bus parts with extremely different utility means I might feel inclined to sit at diner and farm for galvas, but other times I’ll have nothing else but to rush power and take a spin at *maybe* getting pack. Buildable WW blows; no need to optimize collection and build route. Might be going to get an objective done at a certain POI, but the bus might decide I’m not doing it yet. Flow is forced into certain directions; I’m not in control.
I enjoy the times when I’m not the master of the game. Origins can get monotonous doing the same steps over and over to be ready for the Panzer. Earlier maps don’t have as much to do so it’s not that crazy each time. Tranzit takes huge chunks of those habits and locks them away. I’m not there to win, I’m just there to survive.

Tranzit is a phenomenal map, just don’t get to deep into it.

It’s a fun map with friends, and randoms occasionally. I think of it like this, you don’t ever feel “safe” on this map like you do with others (safe as in no threat of going down since teammates are nearby, good wonder weapons, etc…). You go down and your teammate could be across the map from you, wonder weapon is hard to get and perks are spread out. It’s a unique challenge and I enjoy it. But to each their own

I think people just whine.
Jump over lava
Kill the denizens or use em to teleport
Bus? Not mandatory
Bo2 was the last zombies game with unique gameplay mechanics and the map sorta being an enemy, making it more difficult. Had a lot of fun trying not to die on Die Rise for example while fucking around with friends.
