Been following PUBG since 2017 with Gamescom Invitational been the first event. The thing I miss were the diversity of tournament category where PUBG used to had Duo and Solo mode, aside of Squad. Secondly, the community and audienced used to be bigger wasn’t it ? The thing I don’t miss was the technical production. Yeah… let’s not forget that the production and technical issue which were a shitshow and a letdown but it was a guilty pleasure for me since this was their first attempted to push a tournament😅. Also, the squad in TPP was definitely not a good idea in PC version of PUBG. Moving to FPP-only was a better choice for sure.

Now, the production and quality of tournament and teamplay performance have improve and evolve so much. The meta of map & zone control rotation, strategy, tactical and how the team create a space all around are unique, somewhat diverse and more entertaining. Eventhough the hype of casual community base are no longer huge compared to what it was in 2017-2019 but Im gonna give a props to organizer, talent cast and their production team who still work their ass off in organizing a great event for PUBG today. And you know what? I kinda wish PUBG Esports to bring back Solo and Duo mode (must be FPP-only) in competitive PUBG TBH

Seriously, organizer need to bring back Duo and Solo tournament and it must be open registration for anybody. I think that would attract a lot of remaining PUBG community to step in and compete. I don’t care about the TPP though. Duo FPP and Solo FPP competition would be fun af. Also, competitive PUBG format need to be 20 team=80 player in a map again like it was in PGI Berlin 2018 so more team could participated. I understand they couldn’t anymore because it would reduced the prize money distribution for the Squad when it got separated for Duo & Solo player participants too and it’s too much budget to spend to setup more PC in one venue for 80 people.
