    This is why we still need physical copies of games.

    (Well actually, in this case, most games were still stored on the disc)

    There’s not really anything that I’ve wanted to buy on the 360 store for the last 10 years but it’s still sad to see things that were once precious to you, come to an end

    still have quite some time. honestly i just buy used 360 games at this point the storefront charges almost retail prices. lasted quite some time though.

    At least they gave us a good heads up. May connect my 360 this weekend and see if there are any last purchases I want to make. Sad but this is the way it goes.

    If you are going to buy SoulCalibur 1, buy the Dreamcast version from now on. You will need a Dreamcast, right?

    Pretty decent headstart, at least. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony would eventually follow suit with the PS3 store.

    You can still re-download anything you’ve purchased and play them games you have and your save will be good

    Microsoft gave up on backwards compatibility when they ended their support for approving new games for it years ago. It's sad to see them do that for just long enough to gain a positive reputation and then they cancel it, and now close down this store
