Finally had to upgrade from the old L-style desk to something a bit more robust. Used a butcher block from Home Depot and stained it black, to match most of the rest of the furnishings in the house.
Added some T-shaped legs, in lieu of cabinets, and a center leg for added support for the Ark. Sadly I’m using a crappy slide out under desk keyboard and mouse setup which I hope to update using proper rails. Also have an underdesk headset mount to add in the near future.
Overall this gave me a ton of extra working room and opened up the room a good bit since the extra bit from the L-desk ate up way more than I expected. Most of the cables are done up within loom and as tidy as I can get it without installing an underside cable tray.
