I like the zombies but it’s undoubtedly a weaker entry. Maybe the weakest zombies game. The story and multiplayer are pretty bad too, I wouldn’t really recommend buying, even if I like the zombies
Soft-Drummer-2655
At this point it’s a masterpiece if we compare it to MWIII and vanguard
Smugstr
Second best zombies game ever, criminally underated and overshadowed by iw
TheIronCannoli
If it’s on sale I’d say get it. But it’s not worth a full price.
Honestly I really enjoyed this whole game. The zombies left a little to be desired if you compare it to other zombie games (except vanguard) but it’s fun, especially the first map The Final Reich.
Extreme_Glass9879
The best zombies experience, it actually tries to be scary.
SkipperDaPenguin
WW2 had one of the best first maps AND the biggest downfall in map quality out of any COD zombies titles at the same time. Make of that what you will.
The gameplay itself is solid, but any map following the first one, Final Reich, becomes increasingly bad, both in terms of gameplay, as well as Easter Eggs. Solo is a living hell and considering the community is next to non-existant, if you didn’t play it on release, finishing easter eggs is going to be really really annoying and challenging. Not really due to skill issues, but rather to the very anti-solo design of the DLC maps that have you spending 1-2 hours doing the EEs by yourself, after/while having to read up external guides for another 3-4 hours because the EE steps become so absolutely random, overclustered, complicated and pointlessly redundant, just for the sake of pissing the players off with more needless steps that lack any sense or logic.
Story was fine, but the characters were so stiff, lifeless and uninteresting that you might as well have made them silent or just have them being basic nobody soldiers since it wouldn’t have made a difference.

It’s an incredibly unique experience. It definitely tries to set itself apart from the other games and I had a lot of fun because of it. If it’s on sale I definitely recommend grabbing it
Beautiful_Ant5535
Personally it doesn’t get the respect it deserves. You have specialist that aren’t op like bo4 it has a armor system allowing you to have jug without wasting a spot, it’s the scariest and darkest themed zombies to date still plus I loved almost all the maps, plus it’s the only game to have several unique packed weapons besides bo1 you have snipers that turn into the scavenger you have pistols that turn into a shot gun, it’s truly a great game, I won all cod zombies besides vanguard and WW2 is one of my favorites and funt side note at least on PlayStation the multiplayer is still active you can get into a lobby in like 2 minutes
Side side note you can get the game and all dlc for like $40 if you wait for it to be on sale and it has 8 zombies maps so not a bad deal at all
Little_Ad_8113
I’m new to the Zombie part of cod but I’ve played ww2 zombies lately and the third reich map is really good, I play on xbox mostly and ps5 now and again and there’s always people in the lobby to make a full team I’d recommend getting it when it’s on sale myself 👍

Thematically, it was fantastic. I loved the setting and atmosphere of the first map. I never got any of the DLC maps so I can’t speak to those. But from what I did play, I really liked it.
TB12-SN13
I really enjoyed the campaign on this one. First CoD campaign I’ve played that tried to show the negative side of war and not just “it’s so fun to shoot people”
TheAnswerWithinUs
The zombies was awesome. I didn’t play campaign tho.
EquivalentShift8545
Yes. Don’t question it. Yes.
DjijiMayCry
There’s no other COD game like it. It might not keep you hooked as much as the other games have but if you liked the creepy, dark, and brutal vibes of World at War this is the next best thing
MrPinkCuck
Final Reich is amazing. The rest of the maps are all pretty lackluster.
ninja_shooter
Yes zombies is really fucking good although it’s sadly dying but I still grind it on the daily
Dangerous_South4758
No World War 2 zombies is crap. Never done the Easter egg….
LateralSpy90
Story is decent, more interesting imo than aether. 3 out of 4 maps are actually good though. I like it’s maps
Stiffbiscut
I thought the atmosphere and concept was great but the gameplay felt really choppy I always felt like the zombies were not very responsive and sometimes I would just glitch past them in moments where in treyarch zombies I wouldve been hit or trapped
bum_jelly
It’s fun if as long as you don’t go into it expecting something like black ops 3. It’s very different from treyarch zombies
s000bloody19
I liked it

As someone’s who’s been playing since the beginning of cod zombies, this is in my top 3. The story is good, gameplay is good, and it has more of a horror theme than any other zombies mode. With the exception of the first map, the Easter eggs are challenging. Also, the first map has a hardcore ee that’s separate from the main one that is quite difficult. Plus you can earn different characters from doing certain challenges on each map. Those are extremely challenging and gives the maps great replayability.
Traffice_Cone
Get it on sale. It’s good but not so good you should drop $60+ on it (unless you have money to blow)
Orbitcamerakick21
Amazing fucking campaign, great multiplayer and good zombies
NoName666263
Just play it and find out for yourself
JazzMeister500
The zombies mode at base game is really good. You can easily find the game used for like $10, and that price alone is worth it for the launch map Final Reich. The dlc is where it gets debatable in my opinion, but honestly, I’d say find the game used, play the on disc map and if you like this take on zombies then look into the dlc
mrchrisker
it’s fun the campaign is enjoyable one of the better ones in the post mw3 era and zombies is fun but it’s certainly not treyarch everything feels a little bland imo
Lower-Explorer-8891
Better than vanguard and possible the new MWIII that is coming, I found the campaign alright and as for the zombies it w asnt my favourite but it was still a blast for me
Exotic_Rainz
Good zombies game, not treyarch but definitely has fun to be found
Tempestwolf28
The story’s not bad by any means, I actually like it a lot. The actual game play and maps tho. It’s pretty bad. The only map I like is Das Haus which is the tutorial map. Most of the maps just feel dead after the second time playing them. The game just lacks character. But the zombie design in this game is actually super cool, still sad they removed jump scared because it was one of the few things that added character.
RuinOnStandby
I don’t reccomend buying it unless it’s on sale or you can get it for free.
