Last night I was playing Origins for a few hours attempting the Easter Egg alone, as me and my brother did it around a year ago and it was very difficult. It was round 22 when the first step was completed and I decided once I put the fire staff in the pedestal at the bottom of the excavation site, I would put the Xbox One in rest mode and go to bed. I followed through with my plan.
Cut to today, it’s around 7:30pm and I feel like continuing the Easter Egg. I go to the Tv and turn it on with the remote, however instead of pressing the power button, I press the Amazon button. When that button is pressed, Amazon loads on the Tv and is unable to switch channels for a bit. In the meantime, I turn on the Xbox and finally switched the channel. While Bo2 (which is a disc) was highlighted, I picked up the controller and accidentally pressed a button. The X button. The button that ejects the current disc when highlighted. I noticed the disc being ejected, panicked, and put it back into the console. After a few seconds I saw what I hoped I wouldn’t see. The Xbox 360 intro. All that progress was erased. I would need to start all over.
