one of my favourite episodes from the series, was perfect
It’s an Alastair Reynolds short story, also the name of a book of his short stories published in 2006. He wrote Beyond the Aquila rift as well, which is also the title of a book of his short stories, publish ten years later in 2016. Highly recommend all his books
