Hey everyone, if you experience these things there’s one simple solution (and it works for other DX12 titles). This method involves turning off Control Flow Guard for MWII/WZ2, which will reduce stutters and improve the performance drastically!

**DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TURN OFF CONTROL FLOW GUARD GLOBALLY, ONLY FOR INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS.**

1. Firstly, go to your start menu and search for “Exploit Protection”, then click on it.
2. Go to Program Settings
3. Click the + sign next to “Add program to customize” and click on “Choose exact file path”
4. Navigate to your MWII/WZ2 installation folder; e.g. “D:\\Call of Duty\\\_retail\_” and choose “cod.exe”
5. Once added to the list, a menu will pop up. Under “Control flow guard (CFG)” tick the box next to “Override system settings”.
6. Underneath that, turn the slider switch off, then press apply.
7. Boot up MWII/WZ2 and enjoy better performance and reduced packet burst stutters!

From my experience, having CFG turned off allowed me to play on Maximum preset (Low textures) and Ultra Quality FSR and still be within the 50-60 fps range on my GTX 1650 i5-9300H laptop at 1080p!
