honestly, i dont think i’d like it as much as comics. i liked playing as them. i loved the types of maps we went to. to be able to play in them.

If Treyarch continued the Chaos story alongside the Dark Aether story in their next game, I would be very happy. I feel like Treyarch could learn from how they handled two different story lines in BO4 and improve upon that.

The Chaos story only got any major popularity after Bo4’s life cycle and during the life cycle is the only time that really matters.

Not profitable i guess

Well apparently some Chaos lore was referenced in Vanguard’s Shi No Numa Reborn. Specifically the reference to Alistair by Dr. Kroft. Nobody played Vanguard so I would imagine nobody would know about this but it is weird that they referenced Chaos stuff in the rebooted Aether timeline.
Maybe Chaos was just part of the multiverse and that could give these characters a chance to come back.

Never understood the hate they got during BO4s lifecycle. The chaos maps were easily the best maps in BO4 and these characters were witty and fun. They were what the Victis crew should’ve been imo

My simple take on Chaos is that no matter how good they were (and I quite like Chaos, myself, both characters and plot), it was the worst possible decision to introduce them in the same game where Aether came to a close. That’d be like if Better Call Saul Season 1 was releasing concurrently with Season 5 of Breaking Bad. No matter how good it *was*, every person got invested in the story that you’ve already been telling for years, there is no shot the new series would ever be more popular, and ultimately, I think that’s what killed it.
As for why it was never brought back? I always thought it was because Chaos was Blundell’s thing. Once Blundell left, so did Chaos. But then Vanguard hinted that we weren’t quite done with it. Unsure what that was all about. Compared to what we have now, I would *love* to see Chaos again, though I’m not confident we’ll ever see it brought back

You actually do make a really good point. Although I highly doubt it as Bo4 was HEAVILY hated upon back in its life cycle.

Wrong marketing and order of release. Great storyline. I stopped playing anything newer when they didn’t continue the chaos story.
