Passing this along if anyone like me had this issue. DLed the game (and extras) on PS4 with the PS+ July 2023 games. Had fun and went through the campaign. I want to move on to multiplayer now, and yesterday there’s the 1.39 patch/update — and it will not update! Error message says I needed about 19 free GB ….. even though I have plenty of space!

Uninstall everything and reinstall? No, not necessarily.

On the main screen of the game near the bottom you will see an R3 option where it says “File Management.” Here you can uninstall downloaded parts of the game without having to go into your PS storage and do the whole thing. In my case — since I was done with the campaign mode — I just deleted that and it “freed up” space for the new patch. This, of course, might be different depending on what you’re doing with the game or other storage you have, but it’s a bit of a workaround.

Had a hard time finding this and creds go to this person years ago: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk2H538BjBY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk2H538BjBY)

Maybe this is common info but wanted to post in case anyone like me isn’t a common COD player. Be well, gamers!

I see that you just want to help and thats cool but that is not a fix to the bug. You just said that you can delete something from your console to free up space. Which is the same solution everyone already knew.

Again, I have nothing against this post, I just don’t like how you phrased the title.
