Just wondering why it says my highest kill streak is 24? | died on my last kill of the game. I also didn’t get the nuke medal

I believe the killstreaks only count you actually killing them. So EKIA is you putting damage on enemies and they die weather you killed them or a tm8 did. The actual medals rely on you putting the final round into the enemies, you need 25 of those red hit markers in 1 life for a nuclear medal. Great game BTW even if you just fell short of the nuke :(.
