I just want to talk about this song. It’s been bothering me.
It is definitely a great song regardless of what I am about to say.
The song starts off amazing. Has great lyrics, melody and build up to a great drop. Unfortunately that drop is severely lacking. I’m talking about what happens at 50 seconds in. Hard to explain since I’m not versed in music but what I mean but is it would of be great if it was some clean melody with a pleasing consistent beat but we get a jumbled up dubstep-esq beat that completely throws me out of it.
Whenever this song comes up in my Spotify list i listen to it up until 50 seconds and change it. The beginning is flawless but the beat drop is a messy and annoying.
Anyone agree on this? Or am I just acting like an old man. I just hate seeing art having so much potential but squandering it.

“Hear okay, mon. Righteous dub.”
I respectfully disagree. I think the majority of the song lacks significant editing which is what makes it so heartfelt; the drop is a nice contrast.
Why they added those crappy blurred ahh parts, reminds me of “ojitos lindos” by bad bunny
The beginning bars are definitely the iconic part. That’s why this part gets used in so many memes.
The distortion that gets cranked up around the one minute mark is definitely a love it or hate it characteristic. I know people who love distorted sound in their music and want more of it. I’m looking at you, Weakly Tunes. I also know people who have an extremely adverse gut reaction to distortion, like they touched something hot. I’m looking at you, wife.
:/
Electro Breaks != Dubstep. I get that dubstep got popular in the late 00’s and then beyond, but this has none of its earmarks aside from a synth stab or two.
I also respectfully disagree. It IS a summer club banger, but it got a ton of airplay last autumn, so it missed its season.
Idk, I’m pretty sold on the whole thing. But then again I like it as a kinda grungy pop song.
