One of the often-overlooked aspects of gaming – main menu backgrounds. We all know that first impressions matter, and a stunning main menu background can set the tone for an entire gaming experience. So, I’m curious to hear your thoughts – which games do you think have the most captivating and mesmerizing main menu backgrounds?
Is there a particular game that left you awestruck? Or maybe a title that perfectly captures the essence of the game’s world before you even hit “New Game”?

While I don’t think their backgrounds are particularily captivating or mesmerizing, if you played the games they’re definitely memorable and nostalgic:
World of Warcraft, Vanilla, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.
Seeing that dragon pop up in the latter for the first time was a nice surprise. And because we saw that menu every day it really brings me back anytime I see it again.

Alan Wake has some great menu backgrounds and the music that goes along with definitely sets the mood.
