This is our his and hers set up. I’m on the right side. I find myself wishing I didn’t need two monitors. I’m starting to feel cramped, i want more space.
Has anyone left the two monitor set up for a single? Did you go to an ultra wide? Just looking for opinions. I’m leaning toward going 34 inch ultra wide, maybe a bit bigger.
Any advice or opinions would be awesome.
Enjoy your weekend fellow nerds.

You can get 1 large screen and break it into zones using software and what not but I’d still rather have at least 2 physical panels.
I ran 2-3 monitors for years.
Recently “downsized” to a single 43″, 16:9 4k monitor and it’s been awesome. I can break it up into 4-1080p zones, PiP and multiple inputs for up to 6 sources.
Also, less cords, wires, and mounts.
U need your own desk mate that’s the problem, I’d feel cramped even with 1 screen personally
You could try mounting the pc on the wall and then that way it doesnt take up as much of the desk, as well as mounting the monitors to the wall or back of the desk for more desk real estate. You can also get a wall mount for a GoXLR and your macro button thingy, and then that way those things don’t take up as much space
That’s very cramped. A few things suggestions…
1) Maybe get a new/second desk
2) Get her PC off the desk, that would free up quite a bit of space. Where to move it to is the challenge, maybe pull the desk out from the wall a few inches and put the PC behind the monitors or on the floor. Mount it on a shelf on the wall?
3) I would move the roadcaster somewhere else, maybe push it back under your monitor, put it on top of her PC tower, or get rid of it and use a software switcher/mixer?
I don’t think you are going to have more room, swapping to an ultra wide and you’ll probably still want another screen.
I swapped from (3) 32″ 1440p displays to a 49″ super ultra wide for awhile. A couple months ago, I replaced that with a 48″ OLED 4K display and still wanted a 2nd screen so I added a LG DualUP 28″ display.
I think at the end of the day, what’s going to give you more room to breath is finding somewhere else to accommodate a second desk, or move that desk to a longer wall, where you can spread out a little more and put both PC’s one the floor. Good luck!
maybe get smaller monitors those look like 32 inch ones and you could probably just use 2 27 or even 24 inch ones and you’d get a lot more space
