I bought my first black desk a couple years ago. Honestly, it’s not really my favorite. Thinking I’m going to go with a lighter color next time myself
I think everything would just blend in together with no distinction I’m your gear as most of it is black. I’d probably just add a few white peripherals for contrast.

I think the white provides a great contrast. I say hold on to it for two weeks and see if you start to enjoy it before trading it in.

I think a darker coloured wood could look really nice, probably don’t want to over do it with the black.
White looks tacky unless everything is white imo. If you want stealth black, go for it. I went through a phase like that too. End game colours are natural colours though. Lovely pine / oak desk with black legs. Looks beautiful with green plant with black soil and a terracotta pot.
You’ll regret it. It’s fine honestly, could maybe chuck a couple small pieces of black and white wall art above the speakers or something but it’s really fine. One’s always more critical of their own work and it’ll play tricks on you.
