    I’m not familiar exactly how the disk is read but it’s intriguing to think it could be read enough for the system to know what game to run yet not enough for it to do that with the disk alone

    I had a similar thing with my bo2 disc a few years ago, for years it hadn’t worked on my 360 because of how scratched it was but when they finally made it backwards compatible on the Xbox one I decided to just give it Hail Mary and see if it would work and to my surprise it could read it enough to verify it’s authenticity and just started downloading the game.
