I think its a clipping glitch like if someone is down and you dive on them you insta go down

Black Ops 1 has a known glitch where if all but one player is downed, they can be killed by friendly fire.
FWIW, I haven’t seen any with normal knife kills, but I’m not surprised to see it happen. The Bowie Knife and the Sickle can cause this to happen much more easily.
I have seen clips of the Python doing this as well. Explosive weapons can also be a problem like Ray Gun splash damage or Mustang and Sally.
Just be happy this happened in an early round. My buddy and I discovered this issue when I killed him with the Mustang and Sally on round 54 on Five. We never had the patience to make it that far again.
