Hey guys! Since a lot of you enjoyed my last post i decided to make a part two! So here are more similarities to iraq that are found in al mazrah :

I recently discovered that we do actually have an observatory here in Iraq, specifically in erbil! It looks similar to the one in game, it’s even on top of a mountain as well!

There are a lot of ruins scattered around the desert that look almost identical to old Iraqi ruins!

This bridge looks strikingly similar to Mosul’s old bridge, unfortunately it was demolished after a series of floods in the area.

Some buildings in Al mazrah have exposed bricks, which is a feature of many Iraqi homes. They usually do this to cut costs as much as possible, we can also see that these buildings use what’s clearly the developer’s interpretation of yellow Iraqi bricks, which are way more common here than regular red/brown bricks.

The resort in marshlands kinda resembles one of saddam’s old villas. I’d like to mention that one of saddam’s villas did turn into a resort, however, it’s not the one that’s similar to the game’s villa.

There’s a lot of these 1-2 room houses all over the map, i think they’re loosely based on some homes that you could find in Iraqi slums and poor villages. They also have similar interiors! But i don’t understand why they have European style doors.

i already showcased Rohan oil in my previous post, but i really wanted to include this picture of the silos, i think it’s neat.
