Activision pulling the same shit with COD 2023 that they did with Vanguard. Throw a “zombies” mode in there to boost sales within the Zombies community that didn’t get anything for MWII.
I hope absolutely nothing is taken away from Treyarch’s resources for 2024 by this move. Assuming that’s the case, I’m fine with an Outbreak 2.0.
Not sure how it’ll connect to the Dark Aether storywise, however.

Look, I actually really enjoyed Outbreak and wouldn’t mind seeing it return. I imagine the numbers must support this too, since they are choosing to go this route over round-based.
If they do some of the things the community asked for, like make dedicated (or at least zombified) maps, faster/more zombie spawns, and have an interesting cast of characters to play as, I’m hopeful that it could be pretty fun. Hesitant, but hopeful.
That said, if they shoehorn the mode in in last minute, kinda like they did with Vanguard, it’ll be a hard pass from me.
