This has always been a thing some packs cost money but always also give you the equivalent in COD points.

That is because it is a bundle that includes cod points. 2400 iirc. Technically it is a great deal. That is if you wanna fist out some cash for Activision for not fixing REAL issues in this game like Server tick rate which would provide better balance in engagements.
