So I’m sure it’s been asked but I’ll ask anyway. With all the changes they’ve made to DMZ, do they still consider it a beta? Or are they just leaving the beta tag on so they can get away with doing whatever they want?

Yes, it’s very clearly still in beta.

We’ve had regular, significant changes to the mode and it’s still unfinished.

The live service model has blurred the lines between beta and full release so we’ll probably continue to see iterations of improvements after beta ends. But it’s still fair to have a beta label on DMZ for now.

Its beta as long as they want it to be

Most games these days that start in beta (especially if they are free-to-play) will stay in beta hell as a means to use that as an excuse for multiple bugs. I don’t see this getting out of a beta stage for at least another 6 months.

  4. It will probably always be a beta. Next DMZ will be a ‘new’ release I think.

Wild that you can sell bundles for something in beta.

Still in beta because when I get kicked from their servers I lose all my progress and loot.

At this point, I’d call it an Alpha with how bad it is

Whole thing is still in beta. Only reason I’m still playing is I (stupidly) paid for MW2 and PSN.

  9. The whole company is in beta, you guys have to chill and let them build up. There’s just so much 30 devs can do. We have to be patient

  10. I wonder how many people will cry when they buy the pay to win bundles but it turns out the benefits don’t carry over the the “full” release.
