I personally think detachable / removable cyber parts are gonna be a thing in the next 20 years. Maybe sooner.

    Very unlikely that we geht anything that’s not an absolute nightmare for the wearer. You severely underestimate how far away from bridging muscles and nerves to technology we are. And that doesn’t even account for connecting living tissue to a foreign object like an augmentation. We are still a very long way from cool, working augments like we get in games, movies and books.

    Most prosthetics are already removable, so you can check that off the list. “Cyber parts” feels ill defined, so I’ll presume it means the prosthetic can perform as well as, or better than, whatever body part it is replacing. I’m skeptical prosthetics will be on that level in 20 years. I would love to be wrong about that though. 20 years is a long time for technology that’s rapidly improving, so I guess we will see.
