Shield doesnt really work in this game, ive tried it for a few matches but basically keep dying in the same situations, where i have the shield up on my screen, but it’s on my back in the kill cam

I’ve seen weird things like this happen in general but especially with lag in this game. I was once lagging really bad, 200+ ping every game, but my shots were hitting hard and there was a guy who drove by the bridge and I shot him out with a sniper and on my screen he stopped and it was a easy headshot but my teammates were saying wtf because they seen me lagging around and said the guy was still driving, lol..
ok cool, are we just gonna ignore the fact that the shooter was using wallhacks?

Actually had this happen to me the other day. Was going for platinum on the kodachis and tried to activate battle rage only to get a kill cam where I looked like a complete donut because I activated battle rage and someone shot me from the front while I was in the animation.
Another riot shield inconsistency is sprinting with it. From your camera, it appears that you hold it off to the left, but to anyone else you’re holding it off to your right.
I see the purple shield, broken, down icons. But what is that last spray bottle one? The fact that you shot someone with battle rage?
Well you were running a riot shield, so you did kind of deserve to die. Good clip, every time a riot shield user dies the world becomes a slightly happier place.

Yea the shield way worse in this game. Not sure if it’s desync or what but you can just jump at people with a shield and smg them no problem.
I’ve also noticed munition boxes and armor boxes on the ground cause the shield to angle away from your body if you stand near them despite it showing it being directly in front of you on your screen. Died a few times to that.
Also not sure if it’s fixed but before getting in cars with your shield equipped would cause you to have your fists out when you exit the car.
It’s like they took all the fun cheese components from wz1 and nerfed them, whether it be one shot snipes, riot shields or reload canceling. Game is just so bland for me. Sometimes it’s tolerable but most times we just get off after 2 games of shit servers.

Yes, I run melee setup and this happened a lot when I was trying to unlock the xbow challenge for Battle Rage. Otherwise I don’t ever really use Battle Rage.
