I think the problem was that early on his voice lines were lacking, whereas the others had crazy bombastic personalities but Takeo was kind of normal in comparison, the further they went the better he got.

Banzais in Vanguard are poisonous and kill you easily, in World At War, you actually fall to the ground of get a quick time event, same with the k9s, it proves the older Cods had more detail. also “maybe Easter Egg not so hard this time, oh that’s just power switch” (sad Japanese noices)
