People will complain but RPK/Fennec really isn’t bad. The RPK is a little too strong and the Fennec is too strong, but the DMR was totally broken and the Diamattis were totally broken.

Yeah. People are bitching and moaning, but honestly this is one of the least godawful metas we’ve had. RPK is only slightly better than it’s competition, and fennec has the severe drawback of super low damage per magazine, meaning you have to reload after just 1-2 kills. I haven’t seen the meta this balanced since the Partially Nerfed Kilo/Partially Nerfed Amax and MP5.

I don’t really see how the RPK is as busted as people say. Is it a great gun? Yeah but I don’t feel like it’s that much better than the next best guns. The TAQ-56, TAQ-V, Kastov 762, and Sakin MG38 feel very comparable in my experience.
The Fennec on the other hand definitely outclassed the other SMGs, but I wonder how they can properly nerf it without putting it through the ground because a super high rate of fire SMG really has its place and should still be viable. Me though, I’ve been rocking the MP5 instead just because I like how it feels and I don’t feel like I have to worry about ammo as much

This meta is just boring is all, I wouldn’t consider it broken it’s just boring and we are all dying way to quick because of the TTK. Also my favorite toxic meta had to be the VG double barrel meta, holy smokes that meta was insane lol

RPKs definitely the best long range gun, but it still has some close competition with the TAQ-56, M4 and Kastov 762. The Fennec is OP close range, but the fire rate is so fast, that if you miss a few shots, you could have to reload in the middle of a gunfight. Meanwhile the DMR and Diamattis were just better than the rest.

Imo they just need to slightly make the fennec deals 24 dmg to the body (compares to 27/25 dmg now) and the fennec would be ok.
I would immediately switch to veznev and mp5.

Honestly at this point, just to mess with everyone the studio working on warzone should just do a randomiser on every weapon and buff what ever weapon comes in the randomiser.

Every day that passes the RPK/Fennec meta is less frustrating and for me, less common.
We have some pretty solid alternatives now with the taq-56, taq-v, Sakin etc. I even saw Joewo drop like 26 kills with the Rapp H which he made look insane and for smgs we have more clear positive and negative sides for every alternative with the Fennec shooting crazy fast with high damage with the downside of emptying the mag so quickly and the range, we have the MP5 that personally doesn’t really have any downsides at all, the Vaznaev which I really love as well thanks to its pretty quick fire rate as well and then the Minibak with the 64 round mag making it a really great choice for trios/squads.
One small nerf to the current meta and with the big update coming in a week, I believe we’re in for a treat

DMR meta, to this day, is the most fun I’ve ever had on Warzone. It ran its course and definitely needed to be balanced, but holy shit was it fun.

yeah i dont think the RPK makes the game unplayable or anything, but its definitely overpowered. its kinda like the UGM meta from Warzone 1… except there isnt anything resembling competition. at least in WZ1 you could easily have gotten by using the cooper, automaton, vargo, kilo, m13, stg, xm4, etc. just that the UGM was better until it got nerfed
right now, there isnt really a serious competitor. you are just at a huge disadvantage if not running the RPK. its also the best sniper in the game, and there simply isnt enough of a mobility punishment for choosing an LMG, since everybody’s movement speed is nerfed anyway.
