This is pretty cool. Where did you get the goggles? What is the parts/build list? I’ve been collecting parts for one of these, just haven’t found the inspiration to start.

  2. Wondershock

This is so cool. Really clean work. Well done.

This has me thinking about a compact HMD setup with a decapitated laptop. You really can work anywhere these days—why not push the envelope?

I’m suddenly realizing that the cyberdeck is something that isn’t “implanted” by a ripper dock rather it’s a handheld device so why the hell can you only purchase these at a Ripperdoc in 2077? If I’m not mistaken there is a shop that does cyberdeck repair, why not sell them?

  4. ConjurerOfWorlds

Amazing ride you got there! Well done!

u/Garrwolfdog any specs / build sheet?

eventually, would love to make my own cyberdeck and this looks great! well done!

Incredible build! I love the style. Did you 3d print your base casing perchance or was it modified from something else? If you don’t mind me asking.

Looks like a hacked apart SMISEACOW K2. Very cool. Come to think of it, someone should market a 3D printed carry case for the Smiseacow K2 that replicates this chunky cyberdeck “on-the-go” asthetic.

How much of it is 3d printed?

I really want to build one of these myself. this form factor is almost exactly what i didnt realize i wanted in a cyberdeck. i might include an SDR for fun if i build one.

The basics of it are that it’s a Raspberry Pi 4 using a PiJuice module for power management. The screen is a 480×1920 8.8inch panel and a Vortex Core 40% keyboard.
I’m planning to do a build guide/write-up when I get a chance this week and make the case designs available to anyone who wants to print them 🙂

  10. Working as a network admin i totally have to make something like this. I would put Putty on mine

You sir are a true netrunner

  11. MrFixIT_Sysadmin

Dude. That’s stupid badass lol. Nice.

  12. -PARAN01D-

Oh my god. This is the coolest fucking thing I’ve seen in AGES. I’m assuming you’re involved with penetration testing, and this is one awesome way to do it.

  13. WintryLemon

All this beautiful work and you use it to open Furry MUCK. 🙁

  14. DangKilla

    Sick.

Do I spot an obvious Plant logo?

How do you cycle through the two screens?

  15. RealCaramelli

So uh… when you gonna start selling these?

  16. MaeWyse-44616F

Do you have a post or video about how it’s made, been thinking about trying this for awhile just never knew where to start

  17. Stegosaurus5

I think I’ve likely seen every “cyberdeck” project on the internet, and I’m comfortable saying this is singularly most impressive one that still looks cyberdeck-y. This is dope.

  18. beneaththeradar

coolest post I’ve seen on this sub to date. wicked rad, my dude.

  19. LordSoftnips

This is the dopest shit, especially cool it has functional use

  20. INSERT_LATVIAN_JOKE

Super nice. I really ought to get around to a similar project some day.

  21. SuckmyBlunt545

The fucking china box holder is truly the cherry on top. Epic

  22. tepid_monologue

This is possibly the coolest thing I’ve ever seen

  23. SaikoSaidSo

Do you have a build guide? Not to replicate. I just love watching people going through the process of designing and building these things.

Someday I’ll have an idea for something I want to build. But for the most part I currently just enjoy watching what everyone else builds for themselves.

  24. TwilightVulpine

    This is awesome!

    Also Estro Noodl lol

  25. writemonkey

Amazing! This is pretty much exactly what I imagined a deck from Neuromancer looks like.
