    I was with you until you said “Fortnite”

    I am almost 40 as well and I love gaming when the kid is asleep, but Fortnite…..just seems like a surprising choice for an adult and with that setup.

    Hey can u tell me how much that monitor weighs und what monitor arms u are using ? Maybe even a little about ur desk if u know it (like thickness and if its solid wood or not) I want to get a bigger display but am worried my Desk wont support a clamp on Arm with a 32inch which is around 11kgs.

    Amazing setup, however, with kids I would be afraid to have an island desk. Any issues so far or oopsies have occurred with kids running around in your work station?

    I like the idea, but it would give me anxiety thinking that they could easily push the desk with no wall supporting it from moving around.

    I’m 42 as well and I thought I was the only one who do this. There was time that I was feeling wrong for it, like why a grown man is spending his free time in this? Thanks for sharing it definitely makes me feel better and not be so hard and on myself.

    I know exactly what you mean about your dogs, mine does the same with the chair mat because she always wants to be close to me, but I’m terrified of accidentally running over her paws.

    I settled by getting her a new dog bed to sit at the end of my chair mat lol.

    Sick set up, btw. Very jealous of that Herman Miller chair! Some day, eh?

    On / around your desk looks super clean.

    The thing that’s baffling me is that there are no noticeable cables going to or from your desk? Where are you getting the power from and how have you hidden it away so well?

    What sort of footstool is that? Does the desk height require you to boost your chair up? Ever thought about a keyboard tray? (I had a tray that I used for keyboard and hotas but scrapped it and now my feet kind of dangle or rest awkwardly on my rudder pedals)
