Pretty sure its purpose is to let you breathe while IN the gas. Between you and the gas mask, who would you guess did their job?

So the game penalizes you for swimming in the gas? Why didn’t you head more left getting out of the water? you wouldn’t have had to mantle over rocks and you would’ve been moving more perpendicular to the gas.
Yeah and also how quickly the gas kills you compared to WZ1

Gas shouldn’t have an effect underwater since you aren’t breathing and you’re submerged… But after typing that I realized why they didn’t allow it. People would treat swimming as a stim pool and keep diving to heal. Well, never mind. Lol
I find it hilarious that they added the optional gas mask equip in WZ1 at the end of its lifecycle, then regress and not put it in the new WZ

The irony here is that Warzone 1’s final season introduced a gas mask manual toggle feature. As far as I know, it’s not present in WZ2 yet.
A lot of QoL changes came to Warzone in the final season and a half that aren’t actually in WZ2 yet

It doesn’t always do that. Depends entirely on the gas speed. But there is a point where you might escape, but the gas touches you and putting it on is a death toll, or this happens and you’re forever forced to ride it lol. Once it breaks you’ll be able to outrun it. Edit- environment and geography notwithstanding

Easy solution: Gas mask filters do not deplete when not in gas or deplete significantly slower.
Putting off animations starts when player stops running or somthing like that. But I’m not sure if the devs are competent enough to make that possible
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn’t actually fire because Kopcheto was already dead.
A vicious cycle.

I love all the posts of people complaining about the game but it really it’s just them being dumb.
The gas closes slower in this than WZ1 you can easily outrun it and the mask doesn’t slow you down that much, it’s because you’re also swimming.

I think there was a setting for the mask animation but I might be wrong
Don’t carry your heavy primary when running bc you won’t make out of gas fast enough which I assume is the same for swimming.

He doesn’t wait till the gas is sniffing his ass before he starts moving to the circle.
To be honest, this is your issue you should have coasted the gas with mask and then swam the remainder. You lost the seconds the mask would have saved you by bordering the gas.
Running with a sniper ain’t a good idea either.

I can’t believe they brought the gas mask toggle in WZ1 literally months away from WZ2 and then just didn’t include it in this game.
I seriously think this game was made by devs from another world.
