It’s genuinely crazy that for over a decade COD has gone through the same cycle of finding the perfect formula then throwing it away to try and rake in more casual players. For over a decade they have not been able to keep a good balance between the 2. Why is that?

It is the devs. They are stubborn moronic losers. They think they know best when they don’t. Then, just like Caldera, are proven completely wrong, they get chewed out, then they begin to listen to the community and change things. Same thing will happen with WZ2 (actually already is since they are bringing back resurgence so fast, was supposed to be mid-2023) when player count dips and they will fix fhe gulag, TTK, looting, among other things.
During that CODnext event, upon hearing feedback from some streamers like Ninja or JoeWo, devs literally told them to their face they won’t consider changing anything. These are little dweebs who have some power and it goes to their head, they aren’t for the community and never will be.
Because we all keep buying the game every year. Why are there 2000000 posts asking the same question every winter?
I think the problem is the developers/executives themselves are noobs. This is their perspective.
It’s crazy that people think final season WZ1 was a perfect formula
I don’t know how but league of legends is really the only major game that has managed to (mostly) balance casual and competitive play.
I think they really need to add a ranked mode. That way they dont have to create so many changes in the base game that cater to noobs

Sorry what about the current warzone is “casual”? I’m genuinely confused by this as it seems far less casual than warzone 1.
Lol stable performance. From the launch of warzone to the launch of warzone 2. Warzone lost about 50 fps due to deteriorating optimisation.
$1 billion in sales in the first 10 days of release for MW2, whatever you have to say doesn’t matter to Activision.
I’m a casual player and I wouldve been fine with just a copy-paste from WZ1, minus the movement things like slide canceling. I got into WZ1 only a few weeks before WZ2 was released but despite that, I find there’s too many different things in WZ2 and they just dont work.
the aim assist is a joke. anyone that disagrees is delusional and has not a competitive bone in their body, likely not talented at anything in life
I’m about to log on and get a single dose of tactical warfare, Wish me luck..
Because you can’t keep making the same game every
Because there are not enough players for either specific style so they rope both in with half ass compromises.
because they don’t care about the “community”, they care about new players coming from other franchises
you are not who they make these games for
Because it’s not just one game from one studio. It’s essentially all different games mostly built in totally different ways with different versions of an engine, by entirely different teams at different studios every single year. Lots of room for non-consistent to happen because it’s literally not consistent.
And it all started with mw2019 and it will again with mw2
Y’all are lying to yourselves if you think Warzone Final season was the so called “perfect formula”. Also the idea of using polls on twitter to make fundamental gameplay changes when less than 2% of the player base uses twitter doesn’t appeal to the wider community.
You’re whinging because they didn’t listen to your poll answer?
Grow up dude.
Go back to wz1

“This new game is different, I can’t exploit it like the last one”
“All the casuals are playing the new game, my k/d has fallen drastically because the casuals are gone, I’m a good player and I expect more kills”
“I can’t run seventy miles an hour while plating and reloading and jumping and throwing tactical and accessing my hud at the same time, this is not realistic”
You losers really need to grow up. Either get good or go back to animal crossing.
WZ2 abandoned its identity completely. This feels absolutely nothing like a sequel. Same thing with MW22
They have to update their games to keep up with changing technology and the movement of the platforms. I played old Nuke Town just the other day and it was fun to go back, but it’s terrible compared to what we have now.
I think you are just getting used to the change and mistaking your struggle to adjust for the game being bad.
And for 10 years people have bitched about everything. The cycle lives on!
Publically traded company needs to make more and more money. The vast majority of playerbase who spend more money are casuals. Therefore they’re not looking to compromise on their strategy, make devs work on constant crunch modes, release unfinished games before xmas, make broken weapons and skins and then sell them in store. Q4/Q1 look great, investors happy, big daddy bobby kotick happy.
