I don't think this ending even can be considered a bad ending. (From a DFTR POV) V sacrificed their conscious to give a friend a life. And nobody else died there besides V. And becoming part of Alt might not be a bad thing at all. I'm personally hoping come Orion, in a Temperance ending route. We get a cameo of V as a benevolent AI type figure in it.
